Bulova “Accuquartz”

Introducing Bulova’ s new quartz model with highly compact design the movement has a diameter of 2875 mm and a height of 5.3 mm. Its quartz vibrates at 32,768 Hertz (cycles per second). By means of a C-MOS integrated circuit with 126 transistors, and resistors and capacitors, all lodged in 31 cubic mm, the frequency is reduced down to 314 1/3 Hertz to pilot a tuning-fork which in turn actions the hands. Accuræy is around ± i to 2 seconds per week. Designed for large-scale production and attractively priced in consequence. (BULOVA “Accuquartzt”)
