This electronic ’wristwatch boasts a quartz that vibrates 1 ,548,288 times every second Such a performance could only be achieved by cutting the quartz in the form of a wafer and developing a single integrated circuit capable of dividing such a frequency. It is of the C-MOS, single-division, high-ratio type and comprises 342 transistors.
