Longines’ “Weems Navigation Watch”, in its original dimensions. Made from 1928 on, according to the patent application at the time, this model now includes a tribute to the bicentennial of the French Revolution in the form of a centre seconds hand calibrated for decimal time : one rotation around the dial in 36 seconds (X 100 = one hour). But the small seconds hand at 6 o’clock works on traditional timekeeping principles. (LONGINES)
