Sicura “Superman”

Wristwatch + pilot clock + electric generator : an ingenious development introduced by Sicura at the 1976 Basle Fair. It features both an electronic module and a selfwinding movement. The oscillating mass (or rotor) also doubles an alternator that provides the energy required to power the two timekeeping systems. The module, with light-emitting diode (LED) digital display, serves as a high-precision reference for the movement and for reading the time at night. The mechanical watch, with its simple and highly legible dial face, provides the usual advantages of an analog time display. This reliable and highly accurate timepiece also benefits from a practically limitless power reserve. Patent has been applied for. (SICURA “Superman”)
