Created in tribute to Gérard Mercator, famous geographer and cartographer, inventor of the map projections that carry his
name, the «Mercator» shows how fruitful a combination of age-old crafts can be. The self-winding movement with fly-back hands on separate scales - 12 hours on the left and 60 minutes on the right. The handcrafted dial in champlevé enamels, shows one or the other of the two hemispheres of a map created by Mercator and published in 1587.
