“My Day” by Humbert-Droz was unveiled at this year’s European Watch, Clock and Jewellery Fair in Basle. Comprising over 20 models, all in 18K gold, this new collection for women displays a truly original design concept that allows each watch to be customized as its wearer desires. The concept involves a senes of interchangeable “collars” that fit on the basic watch case from the back, totally changing the watch’s appearance in the process. What’s more, each “collar” is decorated front and back, hence designed for reversible wear. The basic case pictured here is studded with diamonds and a pair of ruby cabochons while the “collar” is engine-turned on one side and enhanced by coral petals on the other. Variants, in gold, feature diamonds, lapis-lazuli, jasper and full-fired enamel. All display the hand craftsmanship that is noticeable throughout the collection.
