PIQUOT MERIDIEN-Octantis BASEL 97
Octantis, a constellation above the South Pole named after the octant, an old navigational instrument, naturally lends its name to this marine chronometer certified by the Besançon Observatory. Equipped with a thermo-compensated ETA quartz movement, it is 20 times more accurate than an ordinary watch. It also features a perpetual calendar programmed until 2099, a time-zone function and a lithium battery with a 10-year power-reserve and end-of-life indicator. The name and serial number are engraved on plates on the 750 (18K) gold or stainless steel bezel. Screw-down back, sapphire crystal, water-resistant to 100 m. Limited edition.
