European Watch Clock and Jewellery Fair 1979 BF 605
One of the most significant new items at the 1979 Basle Fair : the receiver clock synchronized by a time-signal transmitter. This model’s high-precision quartz movement is tuned to the Swiss transmitter in Prangins (range : over 2, 000 km) The timepiece’s accuracy is therefore absolute. It also features automatic switching to and from summer time, triggered by a special signal from the transmitter. A lithium battery provides the table clock with about ten years’ power reserve. Gilt brass cabinet with lacquered dial. (PONTIFA)
