European Watch Clock and Jewellery Fair 1989 BF 207
When Universal Genève introduced its “calibre 66” in 1966, it was the thinnest selfwinding movement made : barely 2.50 mm. Its secret was an offcentred mini rotor moving on four ball-bearings. Today, it is back, in Universal Genève’s “Collection 66” line, lodged in a water-resistant 18K gold case with beaded decor, engine-turned middle and clear sapphire case back through which to admire the movement’s ceaseless rhythm. This model is furthermore fitted with a circular calendar and a moon-phase indicator. (UNIVERSAL GENEVE “Collection 66”)
