The supreme tourbillon complication is always an exceptional exercise in itself. For Goldpfeil, Frank Jutzi has endowed it with extraordinary precision, thereby artistically defying the effects of gravity and miniaturisation. The mobile tourbillon carriage, a work of art in its own right, is crafted in filigree-worked steel, mirror-polished and chamfered with the utmost care. The final thickness represents a mere fraction of a millimetre.
This masterpiece is placed in the lower part of a dial with a distinctly retro look graced by cathedral-shaped hands. Fashioned from a solid silver plate and featuring Arabic numerals and engraved Goldpfeil logo, it is framed by a slender solid gold rectangle, streamlined and delicately arched along the flanks, exuding astonishing femininity for such a grand complication. The caseback provides a glimpse of one of the movement gear-trains through a half-moon opening. This creation was entirely developed by Frank Jutzi on the basis of an antique movement.
