The creation by Bernhard Lederer is a genuine stylistic composition. On the front, the hour is represented by the point of convergence of the guilloché waves on the large solid silver turning dial, while the minutes are read off at the tip of the arrow on a rotating subdial. Thus freed from any form of conventional indication, whether numerals, hour-markers or hands, the space available lends itself to absolute personalisation. For Goldpfeil, the golden arrow adopts the brand’s hallmark shape and reigns supreme, set with nine diamonds and one sapphire, on a silvered background matching the white gold of the case.
On the reverse side, the sapphire crystal does not cover the entire surface of the caseback. Through an opening one can glimpse the decorated plate engraved with the AHCI logo and the Goldpfeil signature, but one can scarcely distinguish the edge of the off-centred oscillating weight that has been specially designed to be larger and heavier than usual. This innovation was achieved by the development of a special roller bearing mechanism.
