In developing the Hercules chronograph, Breitling has deliberately opted for superlatives. Inspired by mythology, its name is there to remind people that it is the largest chronograph the brand has ever made. Size-wise, the figures are eloquent: it measures 44.8 mm in diameter and is 15.7 mm thick.
This mechanical chronograph is as efficient as it is imposing. Among other features, it provides a dual display of measured times. A 60-minute totalizer with center hand guarantees peerless readability for any chronograph measurement under one hour. For longer times, a single totalizer with two hands combines the hours and minutes, thereby enabling read-off of the time elapsed exactly as one would normally read the time, meaning instantly and unmistakably.
This optimal legibility is made possible by 38-jewel Caliber 39, a chronometer-certified Breitling proprietary movement.
