Our Q&A with Frédéric Arnault – TAG Heuer.
Europa Star: What are your strategic priorities for 2023?
Frédéric Arnault: In 2023 we are focused on solidifying our growth and continuing to implement the ambitious strategies we have developed over the last couple of years. When it comes to products, we are continuing to refine our collections and territories, bringing new designs to each line, upholding the highest standards of quality and reliability, introducing innovations in movements and materials, pushing back the limits of creativity and technique. In terms of digital transformation, we are supporting the growth of our pioneering e-commerce business, enhancing our customer journey and brand identity online.
And on the distribution side, we’re continuing to expand our TAG Heuer boutique footprint in every region (+60 boutiques to open) and selectively balancing our wholesale presence, with fewer doors but a consistently outstanding customer experience. And last but not least, as a brand, TAG Heuer continues to drive its avant-garde spirit with exciting products, collaborations, events, ambassadors and more that bring our unique and disruptive mindset to life in unexpected yet authentic ways.

Which new products or lines will be your main focus this year?
The year 2023 is definitely our Carrera year – TAG Heuer will continue to celebrate the TAG Heuer Carrera’s 60th anniversary, which kicked off in January. We released a first birthday “Panda” edition beginning of this year, and for Watches and Wonders we introduced five TAG Heuer Carrera chronographs and four three-hand watches. Drawing clear inspiration from its heritage are three new “glassbox” chronographs, two 39-mm editions in blue and “reverse panda” black, as well as one tourbillon, for the first time with a classically elegant look. All three introduce a reengineered domed crystal offering enhanced legibility, as well as evolutions of the Heuer 02 calibre, the TH20-00 calibre and the COSC-certified TH20-09 tourbillon calibre.
TAG Heuer completes the assortment with two vibrant 42 mm racing chronographs that truly channel its motorsports universe with orange accents across the dial. The 36 mm size has also been relaunched with four vibrant and colourful, yet timeless new pieces. And more Carrera interpretations will follow throughout the year. We are also very proud that we were able to take TAG Heuer’s breakthrough technology – Diamant “d’Avant-Garde” – one step further. This year, we took our cutting-edge and industry-defining CVD expertise, adding lab-grown diamonds in custom, creative shapes and new colours to the exclusive timepiece’s aluminium bezel and bracelet.
