fter having gained sound experience in the field of customization, supported by competent partners to accomplish its projects, Label Noir now wishes to propose a series of “ready-to-wear” customized watches, created hand-in-hand with watchmaking brands, numbered and issued in ever-so limited editions, available via its online store to aficionados questing out-of-the-ordinary pieces.
This regular co-branding strategy, focusing on the uncommonness of the timepieces revamped and small-scale produced by Label Noir, is an opportunity to seduce collectors, to invite them to discover one-of-a-kind objects at relatively reasonable prices depending on the model chosen and, at the same time, to partner with a different firm for each capsule collection.
To start writing this new chapter in its history, the design specialist chose to work with Anonimo, a brand reputed for the elegant, understated Italian style of its watches, and to focus on its Epurato model.
The result shows that beauty shines through the details and not through fancy frills, that sophistication is occasionally a matter of colour, material, a simple scenography. However, the more elementary, the more obvious the style, the more it is actually the fruit of long reflection and in-depth work.
To adorn the dial of this highly-exclusive Epurato, the Label Noir team opted for a luminous grey enhanced by a sandblasted finish, yet what instantly catches the eye is the azure blue hue varnishing the direct-drive. Electrifying, it infuses a different philosophy of time, virtually eclipsing the hours and minutes indicated by a couple of baton-style hands coated with Super-LumiNova®, all dressed in black. The applique indexes and three Arabic numerals take on the same dusky shade, as does the backdrop which reveals the date in white in an aperture at 6 o’clock.
The 42 mm-diameter cushion-shaped case, crafted in steel and covered with DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon or amorphous carbon), hosts the self-winding Sellita SW 200-1 calibre, a well-proven motor which beats at a standard frequency of 4 Hz and delivers a power reserve of 38 hours. It attaches to the wrist with a black textile strap fringed with handcrafted azure blue saddle-stitching, clasped by a matt black ardillon buckle.
The exclusive Anonimo Epurato x Label Noir model is issued in just 15 pieces. Price: CHF2,890
