he legendary 417, the first pilot chronograph of the German Armed Forces in the 1950s, serves as the historical model. The warm bronze case paired with an olive green dial and a striking saddles leather strap give the watch a unique design.
The Pioneer One Bronze is limited to 150 pieces and each model will become uni-que with its own patina: the finely crafted case is made out of warm CuSn8 bronze with the exception of the case back which is manufactured in sandblasted stainless steel. By wearing the watch, an oxidation process is set in motion which changes the appearance of the case over time. External factors such as wearing habits and place of residence allow each Pioneer One Bronze to age individually in a fascinating way.
The case back is made of matt sandblasted stainless steel bears the respective li-mited edition number XXX/150, the historical “h” and protects against unwanted color stains on the skin.
The basic design of the new Pioneer One Bronze is based on the historic Pilot’s Chronograph 417. By reducing it to a three-hand watch, the unique charm of the 50s is brought back to life in a modern way.
In contrast to the series model of the Pioneer One, the limited bronze watch does not have a date display. In addition, the historical logo, which is rarely seen, is used on the plain dial. The large crown, also featuring the “h” of the historic Hanhart logo, is used for error-free control and the numerals and hands of the Pioneer One Bronze are covered with the modern Super LumiNova® luminous material C3 green line for perfect readability by day and night.
The classic and for Hanhart typical fluted bezel with red marking is continuously ro-tatable in both directions. The convex, internally anti-reflective sapphire crystal pro-vides perfect protection against scratches, and with a water resistance of up to 10 bar / 10 ATM, the Pioneer One Bronze is perfectly suited for everyday use. Inside the Pioneer One Bronze works the reliable SW 200 from the renowned Swiss manu-facturer Sellita in the best Swiss-made quality. In addition to stop-seconds, it offers a power reserve of up to 38 hours.
On the wrist, a dark brown vintage-look saddle leather strap makes it comfortable to wear. The strap is decorated with a triple bartack seam at the beginning and a V-seam at the tip of the strap. The good grip is ensured by the bronze PVD-coated pin buckle.
As with the entire Hanhart collection, our watchmakers focus on functionality, quality and contemporary aesthetics. Ever since, the company’s timepieces have been ge-ared towards the following principles: maximum precision and reliability, perfect readability, simple and secure operation, and the greatest possible robustness.
