Its external qualities are backed up by a reliable automatic movement that now scores even higher with its new anti-magnetic NivachronTM balance spring.

The DS Podium is a classic Certina sports watch. In its newest incarnation it enriches the collection with an especially contemporary look: the 44 mm stainless steel case frames a grey dial enhanced with a sunburst finish.

Generously sized numerals and hour markers, the hands and the elegant borders of the chronograph counters set accents in red gold. Distinctive pushers flank the screw-down and protected crown. A dark brown calfskin strap with crocodile imprint and butterfly closure ensures a secure fit on the wrist.

The automatic movement with a power reserve of approximately 42 hours is easily visible through the glass case back. Its innovative NivachronTM balance spring offers secure protection against the ubiquitous magnetic fields of modern life. The Swiss Made movement is a reliable driver of the watch’s various functions: hours, minutes, small seconds and date displays along with a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a 6-hour counter at 6 o’clock.

The displays are enhanced by a tachometric scale on the bezel, which serves to determine an average speed. Two additional variants are available in the new look: a stainless steel version with a black dial and a red gold PVD model with a silver-coloured dial.
