ou can measure your pulse with all sorts of electronic wrist gadgets, but it’s much more interactive and interesting (and a lot cooler) to measure it with a proper mechanical watch with an integral chronograph - a pulsometer.

Inspired by the original Cobb Chronograph, this new Monopusher design arrives with a generous use of colour and meticulous attention to dial construction. Below the central orange chronograph hand, the silver/blue ‘torchlight’ sunray creates a dramatic circular spread of light across the dial. Boldly slicing into the dial sit the oversized twin sub-dials in off-white.

With the 30 minute chronograph counter positioned at ‘3’ highlighting the 10 minute marker in a bold pop of yellow, while the running seconds sit opposite at ’9’. The numerals deserve a detailed look - built out of solid cast Super-LumiNova that glow at low light and infilled with ink blue to create an elegant floating effect.

The Cobb Monopusher utilises a rare Pulsometer scale on the rehaut - the raised inner bezel between the dial and crystal. The Pulsometer is designed to measure your heart rate and calibrated to 30 heartbeats (or pulsations). Start the chronograph timer and count your heartbeats until you get to 30. Stop the chronograph and read the corresponding heart rate in beats per minute on the inner bezel. Just don’t check on first look of the Cobb or you may see an excited heart rate.

The Monopusher case is a unique design for a unique complication. Distinctive harlequin bordered flanks draw the eye to the curvature of the case and towards the drop-away lugs. The 40.5mm case is cut from a single block of marine grade 316L stainless steel, with a case depth of just 12.2mm and a curved box case sapphire taking the total depth to 14.7mm, the full height is subtly concealed by a rounded bellytanker shaped case back with exhibition sapphire. The case is completed by our straight stainless steel crown with inset bronze cap and a single capped, recessed chronograph pusher. Start, stop, reset.

Powered by the new Swiss-Made Sellita SW510 MP Elaboré, a purpose-built single pusher chronograph movement that powers an enhanced reserve of up to 62 hours. Our original chronograph turbine rotor has been updated, now finished in navy blue with lettering detail in striking orange. Heated blue screws and guilloché polishing on the bridge complete the allure of the Monopusher.
