n 2009, Italo Fontana gained worldwide recognition with his bold 65 mm diameter U-1942, becoming known as the creator of the largest watch ever made. Since then, he has continued to nurture his passion for oversized watches.

Today, the U-Boat founder presents the Capsoil Doppiotempo, an extraordinary evolution of the recent 45 mm model, now available in an extra-large 55 mm version.

This watch, combining the successful heritage of Capsoil models and the 1938 Doppiotempo, offers a perfect synthesis of the Dual Time function, provided by the internal rotating bezel, and the “Oil Immersion” concept, with a case filled with oil and a compensation bubble that moves freely on the dial.

On one hand, it offers the ability to monitor two different time zones at all times, a significant detail, especially for adventurous travelers. On the other hand, it enhances them visually with a three-dimensional effect that goes beyond the limits of the glass and dial, which are now of considerable size.

The collection includes three new Capsoil Duoppiotempo 55mm models, with dual crowns on the left side, one for setting the time and the other for the second time zone, available in both 316L stainless steel and DLC-treated black cases.

The domed sapphire crystal, indices, and numbers in the same tones as the 45 mm versions add a touch of refinement. The three versions of the 55mm Capsoil Dual Time feature a deep black dial, one with beige indexes and numbers, and the other two with green and red indexes and numbers, respectively, positioned on the internal black bezel.

On the back of the case, there is an innovative Locking Ring System and a patented screw closure for quick battery replacement. A laser-engraved QR code on the case back provides access to an exclusive and constantly updated digital experience reserved for the fortunate owners of these timepieces.

The watches are completed with a handcrafted black leather strap and an additional black vulcanized rubber strap.

DIAL black two-layer dial. Hands, numbers and indexes treated with beige Super-Luminova, visible screw fasteners. STRAP in leather, black colour. Made in Tuscany by expert craftsmen with a thorough process of leather and materials selection. Finishes made with beige waxed cotton (ref. 9671), red waxed cotton (ref. 9673) and green waxed cotton (ref. 9675). Second strap in rubber, black colour.
