Ba111od returns with Chapter 4.9 Meteor Tourbillon

The brand from Neuchâtel stages a remarkable return with a fresh new rendition of its Chapter 4 Tourbillon. The revamped model from this modern classic series is distinguished by its unique dial, created using grey meteorite fragments, and showcases a tourbillon at the 7 o’clock position.

T

he Chapter 4.9 Meteor Tourbillon is distinguished by its exceptionally rare dial, made from a genuine fragment of grey meteorite, which gives each piece its uniqueness. This touch of exclusivity is perfectly in keeping with the growing trend towards contemporary luxury watchmaking. A timeless timepiece that is suitable for all styles thanks to its 40mm diameter.

Thomas Baillod, the brand’s founder, says: “At BA111OD, we have always been committed to pushing back the boundaries of watchmaking innovation while preserving the traditional values for which our company is renowned. This new Chapter, with its grey meteorite dial, perfectly embodies this philosophy. It is a masterful fusion of craftsmanship and elegance, and a testament to our dedication to offering our customers watches of exceptional quality and timeless beauty, and at unrivalled prices.”

The brand’s senior designer, Liliane Murenzi, adds: “Creating this model was much more than a simple styling exercise. Each meteorite fragment that I used to shape this dial tells a unique story, a story of travel through space and time. More than just materials, these meteorites symbolise luck and protection, offering wearers a connection to the stars and a touch of watchmaking magic.”

Richard Mille reinvents the pocket watch

While this new model stands out for its classic design, its concept is resolutely modern: it has a 40mm steel case, with the crown always at 4 o’clock. Its grey meteorite dial, with its captivating reflections, reveals the tourbillon through a cut-out at 7 o’clock.

The skeletonised anthracite hand-wound mechanical movement, powering the watch with a 105-hour power reserve, is the work of the brilliant watchmaker Olivier Mory, and its sapphire caseback reveals its exquisite finishing. Finally, a metal bracelet completes this timeless timepiece, offering a touch of modernity and elegance.
