Originally conceived and designed to simplify time-reading as the ultimate children’s watch, the 1969 model has been rebooted by its creator for grown-ups. The retro-style quartz watch aims to stand as a true symbol of nostalgia and playfulness, perfectly embodying the spirit of childhood.

aunched in 1969, the automatic Minilip was a model for 6-8 year-olds, specially designed for learning to tell the time with an innovative pedagogical device. By perfecting the reading principle, Fred Lip offered “a true French ruby watch”.

Creating watches for children enabled Lip to break free from certain watchmaking codes and take liberties with the creation of the Minilip.

Divided into three distinct circles, the Minilip dial stands out for its highly didactic approach: each concentric circle allows you to read, from narrowest to widest, the minutes, morning hours and afternoon hours.

The Minilip has just 2 hands: the first for the hours and the second for the minutes. The Minilip sports a revisited vintage style and changes movement for greater precision, switching from automatic to quartz. With a 29mm case, slightly smaller than its predecessor, the Minilip retains its characteristically long minute hand.

The Minilip comes with a woven nylon strap, red and black for the gold version and blue and black for the silver version.
