German brand Circula enters the next phase with the Facet

The Pforzheim-based brand unveils a contemporary 38mm steel sports watch with faceted details throughout. Designed by Guy Bove, former Creative Director of TAG Heuer, this three-hander marks a new level for the brand as its most refined and technically advanced automatic wristwatch to date.

ircula unveils the Facet, a contemporary Go-Anywhere-Do-Anything (GADA) watch, designed purely using intersecting straight surfaces that harmoniously converge throughout the watch. All surfaces are thus delineated one way or another using facets, from the hands and indices to the case and bracelet, without being aggressive. This design evolution takes inspiration from previous releases while introducing a whole new level of sophistication.

Every surface, from the case to the bezel and bracelet, is defined by clear, yet gentle, angles that delicately catch the light and create a stunning visual effect. There is hardly a single curve in the whole case design. Just when looking at the watch from the side, there is a subtle curve from lug to lug, which allows the watch to draw itself tight to the wrist.

The crown takes the stylised wheel cogs from the logo as its theme, repeating them all the way around. The bezel, with its two conical, intersecting surfaces and undercut creates an exceptional 3D impression. The harmonious lines of the case extend to the integrated bracelet, where high-grade finishing ensures the watch sparkles from every angle. The complex geometry catches and reflects light, giving the watch an ever-changing allure depending on the viewing angle.

The dial of the Facet is a captivating study in contrasts. The minute ring has an undercut to let it fly over the dial and cast a shadow onto the main dial surface. The dial itself features a wave-like pattern of concentric circles, subtly formed by the stylised wheel cogs from the new Circula logo, producing a mesmerising irregular symmetry.

The faceted indices and 6-sided hands further emphasise this multi-dimensional design, drawing the eye toward the centre while creating a visually dynamic experience. The numerals, with their straight and slightly curved lines, are designed for optimal legibility and support the faceted design.

Inside, the Facet houses the highly regarded, Swiss made G100 automatic movement from Manufacture La Joux-Perret in Soigné grade, boosting 68h power reserve. This modern movement with its decorated, palladium-plated tungsten rotor ensures precision and reliability, perfectly complementing the watch’s stunning aesthetics.

The Facet is available for pre-order on a matching suede leather strap for EUR/USD 1590 in the brand’s online store. The matching steel bracelet is optionally available for EUR/USD 300 more. Delivery starts early December with prices increasing by EUR/USD 100.
