Raymond Weil Freelancer Calibre RW1212 Skeleton now in 38mm

For the first time, the brand’s global best-seller is housed in a 38mm stainless steel case. Powered by the in-house developed Calibre RW1212 self-winding mechanical movement, this new addition to the collection highlights the brand’s innovative spirit and modern approach to watchmaking.

T

he brand’s commitment to innovation is evident in the openwork dial, which draws attention to the balance wheel at 6 o’clock, revealing the intricate beauty of the watch’s construction and underscoring Raymond Weil’s mastery in horology.

This two-handed model is powered by the Calibre RW1212, in-house developed self-winding mechanical movement, that beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 41-hour power reserve.

The Calibre RW1212 features a new sunray brushed finish, coated in black ruthenium. This model is the first Freelancer skeleton watch to feature the iconic W-shaped oscillating weight, new horological signature of the brand.

The skeletonised dial enhances transparency and depth, focusing attention on the balance wheel at 6 o’clock - a testament to the technical ingenuity behind this exclusive, in-house developed movement.

The Raymond Weil logo is positioned on the blue flange, now treated with Super-LumiNova to complement the hands, which also feature the same luminescent treatment.

Special care has been taken with the color balance of this timepiece. The bridge is finished in black ruthenium, while the rhodium-plated and steel-coloured movement components echo the stainless-steel case. Gold accents on the moving parts and balance wheel complete the harmonious, refined design.

The stainless steel bracelet adds a touch of urban sophistication, elevating the watch’s modern appeal. It is equipped with a double-push security system folding clasp, while the screw-down crown, embossed with the RW monogram, adds a refined finishing touch.

Since its debut in 2007, the Freelancer collection has embodied the spirit of the free-spirited individual who values control over his destiny, with an eclectic range of urbane, mechanical timepieces designed to resonate with his journey.
