he Viro collection from Union Glashütte, first launched in 2008 and further developed in 2016, is now being reimagined with four dial variants featuring new technology and a new look. With an improved movement and a refined design, the new Viro remains true to its original, timeless aesthetic.

With a height of just 9.25 mm, the watch is particularly slim on the wrist. Its diameter of 39 mm makes it a good fit for virtually all wrists, in keeping with the current fashion for petite timepieces. The sleek silver-coloured indices harmonise perfectly with the striking contours of the case and create an elegant appearance. The dial, available in ice blue or bottle green, impresses with a sophisticated sunburst finish that adds real depth and catches the light in a mesmerising way. The red point of the second hand adds a sporting flourish. The hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova luminescent material to ensure legibility even in the dark. For lovers of classic dial designs, the Viro is also available with a black dial and stainless steel bracelet or a silver-coloured dial with calfskin leather strap. All straps and bracelets feature the quick spring- change system, making it quick and easy to change straps.

At the heart of the watch beats the improved UNG-07 S1 movement, with a new longer power reserve of at least 60 hours. The power reserve has been extended by reducing the frequency to 3.5 Hz and the vibrations to 25,200 A/h. The integrated silicon balance spring minimises the impact of magnetic fields, while the sapphire crystal back offers a glimpse of the fine mechanics within. The watch is of course manufactured in line with the rules of the “Made in Glashütte” protected designation of origin. Key components, such as the rotor, are manufactured exclusively in Glashütte.

The relaunch of the Viro Date collection combines functional design with timeless aesthetic and modern restraint. It is available with a stainless steel bracelet for a recommended retail price of EUR 1980.00 or with a calfskin leather strap for EUR 1880.00 including VAT.
