Chopard Imperiale Joaillerie

An advanced technique has been used to create the unique dial of the new Imperiale timepiece: bonding technology.
Initially developed and widely used for the printed circuit boards, the technique was subsequently adopted in the jewellery and watchmaking fields. The technique of decoration using precious or semi-precious metal wires requires perfectly round and highly polished material. It calls for high precision working with extremely thin material: for instance, the gold wire is one-third thinner than a human hair.
